Anti-wrinkle injections smooth out frown, forehead, upper lip and laughter lines. Anti-wrinkle injections relax the facial muscles under your skin. Making lines and wrinkles, such as crow’s-feet and frown lines, much less obvious.
Where can be treated?
Anti-wrinkle injections can be administered in most areas where there are prevalent wrinkles. The most common places for these are the forehead (frontalis), between the eyebrows (glabella) and crows feet around the eye area.
What is Botulinum Toxin & How does it work?
Anti-wrinkle injections use a purified neurotoxin produced by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum. This Botulinum Toxin injection temporarily relaxes wrinkle-causing muscles. Resulting in a smooth & rejuvenated appearance.
Does it hurt?
There is some minor discomfort due to the small needle. But, the procedure is almost pain-free.
Are anti-wrinkle injections safe?
Botulinum Toxin has been used for years to treat a variety of medical conditions.
What happens during treatment?
If the outcome from the consultation is for you to receive anti-wrinkle injections our aesthetics practitioner will clean and prep your skin for the injections. They then administer the Botox injections to the areas receiving treatment.
What results can I expect?
The results of anti-wrinkle injections are not immediate. It takes up to 10-14 days for the full effect to show. The facial muscles in the treated areas relax. Causing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to decrease.
The results of Botox injections perfectly compliment dermal filler treatments given in our Glasgow clinics, especially lip augmentation and nasolabial fold smoothing fillers.
How often will I need treatment?
On average a single anti-wrinkle injection treatment should last between 3-4 months. After these 3-4 months, many clients return for a further treatment. Over time the muscles weaken from disuse and will need fewer treatments.
It is possible to extend the duration and effect of your Botox results by using Zytaze. Taking Zytaze 4 days before and the day of the treatment can extend.
Don’t bend over excessively, try to stay sitting or standing upright.
Avoid wearing makeup or drinking alcohol. Try not to make extreme expressions stimulating the affected muscles.
Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area. When wet or after washing, gently pat the area dry with a soft towel.
For the first 2 weeks after your anti-wrinkle injections avoid strong sunlight/sunbeds or intense heat sources: saunas or steam rooms.
Don’t have any facials either.
